Notary · AI Builder · Speaker

Bridging law and technology.

Christian Ozir is a practising notary who simultaneously builds the AI systems reinventing his own profession. Not an outsider writing about technology — someone doing it, from the inside.

Background

An unlikely combination

Notarial law is one of the most stable, regulated and trust-based professions there is. Christian chose it deliberately — and quickly began bumping up against the limits that traditional processes impose. Not out of frustration, but out of curiosity: what if it could be better? What if the law truly became accessible to everyone, not just those who already knew the way?

That question led him to programming and AI. Not as a hobby, but as a tool. He taught himself to code, trained his first models and built the systems his practice uses every day. From document-checking to deed generators, from knowledge platforms for colleagues to consumer apps that answer complex legal questions in plain language. More than twenty products later, the count hasn't stopped.

What sets him apart from other AI speakers is precisely this: he has sat on both sides of the table. He knows what a deed is, who sits behind it, and why the human signature matters. And he knows what a language model can do — and what it must never replace.

Everyone talks about AI. I build it — and apply it inside a profession that hasn't changed in 500 years.
— Christian Ozir

Mission

Making law more human

The law exists for people — but rarely feels that way. Legal language is deliberately impenetrable, processes are slow, and access to good legal help is unevenly distributed. Christian believes that can change. Not by dumbing the law down or stripping out its depth, but by building a better bridge.

AI is the most powerful tool he's ever had. A language model that translates notarial jargon into plain English. A system that checks a case file in seconds instead of hours. An app that explains to a parent on a Sunday evening what happens to their child's inheritance — without a notary needing to be involved for every basic question.

That isn't the end of the notariat. That's the beginning of a better one. And that's exactly the story Christian brings to every stage.

Vision

AI as a bridge, not a threat

The debate around AI in the legal world tends to be binary: either everything changes, or nothing does. Christian refuses that framing.

AI doesn't replace a notary. It replaces the minutes a notary spends on tasks a machine can do better and faster. What remains is what always mattered: judgement, trust, liability, and the uniquely human presence at some of the most defining moments of a person's life.

Building the bridge means knowing what you let through and what you hold back. Christian builds that bridge every day — and tells the story to anyone willing to listen.

The next chapter

Ultimately: helping others build the bridge

Christian's longer-term goal is to step back from day-to-day notarial practice — not to stop, but to create space for a new role. As a mentor. As a guide for professionals, entrepreneurs and organisations that want to make the move from traditional to technology-driven but don't know where to start.

Because the lessons he has learned — how to innovate a regulated sector from within, how to build technology without losing your values, how to bring a team along on a transition that feels like a leap in the dark — those lessons don't belong only to the notarial world. They apply to anyone working in a sector where the rules and the reality are starting to fall out of step.

That is the mission that drives Christian. On stage. In practice. And in the people he helps to take their own next step.
